The tile arm of Barrett Agri is a one-stop tile shop. We partner with ADS tile, SoilMax plows, and True North Steel culverts to deliver the best total package drainage planning, support, and service for you.
We keep 6”-36” culverts, 4”-24” drainage tile, and most common fittings on site. If you’re looking for something specific we don’t have on hand, we can order it for you in a timely manner.
Why Tile?
To increase yield and maximize profit. By adding drain tile, the water table is lowered and plants are able to develop strong roots properly.
The lack of water saturation allows oxygen to exist in the soil around the roots. Drain tile prevents the roots from being under the water table during wet periods that could cause excessive plant stress. By removing excessive water, crops use water they have more effectively. An increase in crop yield can be simply summarized by the following: Simply by forcing the plants to have more developed roots, the plants can more effectively absorb more nutrients and water.
